JOIN EDWIN HAWKINS' APPEAL

Join Gospel legend Edwin Hawkins in his urgent People In Need appeal to raise funds to provide real solutions for the growing homeless population who spend their days and nights hungry, alone and vulnerable on America's streets, facing untold hardship and often, a violent death.

YOU CAN HELP RIGHT NOW ~ make a simple $9.99 tax-deductible donation to our People In Need Fund and receive a high quality "People In Need" mp3 download recorded exclusively for the homeless by 4-time Gospel Grammy Winner Edwin Hawkins, Gospel Diva Tramaine Hawkins and the Edwin Hawkins Singers.

The People In Need fund will be administered by a committee of local community members in each major city/county for ‘democratic’ distribution of funds. For example, all funds raised in Los Angeles city/county will be allocated to a Los Angeles PIN Fund for the acquisition of permanent housing for the homeless in the Los Angeles area, and so on for each city.

Tramaine Hawkins

Tramaine Hawkins joined her ex-brother-in-law, Edwin Hawkins, and the Edwin Hawkins Singers, to record the People In Need (PIN) song. Her soulful rendering adds a powerfully emotional dimension to the recording as she continues to be one of the most potent influences and voices in Gospel music today. From the ground-breaking radio hit "O, Happy Day", to the present Tramaine has constantly challenged record buyers...and critics...with intensely emotional, moving music. She has explored the possibilities of contemporary Black Gospel music from her earliest days with the legendary Heavenly Tones. First as featured soloist, then through a forceful series of albums under her own name, Tramaine has remained an elegant, arresting, articulate force in Gospel music.

Thank you, Tramaine!
